Education "Passing on the Faith"

Living Grace Library

The Grace Lutheran Library Mission will support all the members of Grace using the library resources to help them interpret what they read, hear, see and experience within the context of the Christian Gospel.

Sunday School

Grace Lutheran Church provides Sunday School from September through Mayfor children age 3 years old (by September 1st) through 6th grade. When Sunday school is in session, we have an average of 45+ students present every Sunday. Three year olds through kindergarten participate in a traditional teacher/student classroom experience; while first through sixth graders participate in the workshop rotation model Sunday school, which is an exhilarating multi–dimensional way of learning.

All of the Sunday school kids will explore Bible stories from both the Old and New Testaments. We pay special attention to the church year, with units focusing on two primary seasonal cycles: Christmas and Easter. We also give special emphasis on stewardship and world hunger, by connecting it with a monthly unit, as well.

The rotation format makes it easy and rewarding to teach our children. Each Sunday, all of the children study the same Bible story.
Text Box: Please Prayerfully Consider
Your Involvement For The Upcoming
2009 - 2010 Sunday School Year
Soon we will be looking for teachers and helpers for the upcoming Sunday school year. With stories, crafts, games, and other workshops, we will need lots of volunteers’ to help for the children of Grace to continue to grow in their understanding of God, the church, and their world.
We emphasize that growing in God's love is fun and enjoyable because that’s exactly what God wants for His children. Please prayerfully consider serving in this ministry.
Volunteering is also a wonderful way to get to know the children in the church and meet our baptismal vow to support their faith development.
If you are interested in being a presenter, shepherd or would like to volunteer to assist in any aspect of the Sunday School Ministry, please contact the church office or a member of the Sunday School Ministry Team for more information.
Come catch their joy and excitement, and share His love with them! You will be glad you said, “Yes!” J

Family Life Ministry

"Four Keys to Nurturing Faith."

1. Caring Conversation -time to listen and time to speak - practice this all the time.

2.  Family Devotions - devotions connect generations with faith, hope and love - get connected

3.  Family Service - Family service projects have been shown to be a vital way to pass on faith from generation to generation. We are influenced by what we see in the lives of others, especially parents and other family members.

 4.  Family Rituals and Traditions - Table Grace, Bedtime Prayers, a Birthday or Baptismal anniversary, and Church Services are some examples.

The Four Keys are ways to participate in the means of grace that extends God's love and saving work to the world on a daily basis.

Family Life Ministry will follow God's call to equip, educate and nurture

a faith filled life journey so that all generations may receive and pass on the faith.
